Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Dive into the latest research on building safe and reliable computer vision systems.

• Push the relevant research further to create tangible value for companies building the most visionary computer vision systems.
• Design and implement novel solutions to efficiently test, validate, and productionize computer vision systems.
• Report and present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently verbally and in writing.
• Suggest and engage in team collaborations to meet ambitious research goals.
• Scale our existing software stack to serve the most demanding use-cases.
• Identify and establish external collaboration opportunities and maintain relationships with world-leading research labs and key individuals.

About you:

None of these are strict requirements but do illustrate what type of people would be most effective at Lakera right now. Ideally you:

• have a track record of developing world-class research in ML, Statistics, or Data Science more broadly;
• are interested in the challenges of taking computer vision to the most challenging applications.

• are familiar with Python and ML development libraries (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc);
• can be productive by yourself as you solve abstract problems independently and produce results without constant supervision;
• have an eye for pragmatism, enjoy taking ownership, being hands-on, and getting things done while being mindful of our longer-term vision;
• are excited about a front-row seat in a fast-growing, early-stage company (a rapidly changing, ambiguous and undefined environment);
• have an interest in AI safety, ethics & regulations.
